An appeal for left over beads

I bet that if you're a beader, jewellery maker or scrap booker then you will have a stash of what my Mum would call odds and sods that you will never use but have kept just in case. Well I have a perfect home for them! We are renowned in the North East for being caring and kind but myself and Sue have been touched by a little girl's desire to help a friend this week.

Abigail is ten, we've never met her as she lives down south in fact we've only really spoken to her Dad Gary via ebay, he didn't ask for freebees but he happened to stumble on an item of stock we had temporarily ran out of so a dialogue started in which we found out why he was buying what he had. So I want to tell you about this amazing little girl and what she's doing. You see there is a little three year old called Sophie Joy who would love to run around like her siblings especially her twin sister but she needs a massive £50,000 or what Noel Edmunds would call a "Life Changing Sum of Money" to make this possible.

Now whilst I'm sure Sophie's parents would love any donation via their Justgiving page even just £1 but we do understand that money is tight at the moment. However you can help Abigail contribute to this fund by sending into Rosewill Cottage your unwanted or left over beads, findings, even old jewellery or craft stock that she can raffle off or sell, basically anything you feel she would find useful in her fundraising attempts would be lovely.

Kimberley, Abigail's Mum has told us that her fantastic daughter has been making jewellery for weeks in preparation for raising money for Sophie at the anticipated Dulvertons Dress Up day and she can't wait to be able to finally sell all her creations. We don't know when Dulvertons Dress Up day is but I bet that Abigail will be more than happy to make up some jewellery for the next event. Lets face it they're going to have to do a lot of fundraising to gain the 93% of the funds they need.

We will foot the bill to post items down and for every parcel we send we'll pop something into the mix too. So ladies and gents if you could take a peek in your beadie stashes or old stock cupboards and bring in or send to Rosewill Cottage, 148 Tynemouth Road, North Shields, NE30 1EG a small bag of goodies that would be epic! Pretty please, with ice-cream, sprinkles and a cherry on top!!
